Victorious Living In The Last Days Part 2 : Pastor Tony Samuels

Have you ever had to walk through something that was devastating; something that made you question your faith; something in which you could not even sense the Presence of the Lord while you were in it? Well, if that is your story, the fact that you are reading this is the evidence that God is real, and God brought you through it. To live victorious in the last days, we are going to have to possess an unstoppable conviction, that no matter what comes into my life, I refuse to turn back. I will continue to go forward in my relationship with the Lord! The direction for the believer is always forward and never backwards. Luke 9:62 (KJV) says, And Jesus said unto him, “No man, having put his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God.”

The Bible predicts an event that is going to happen in the last days, and you must do everything in your power to make sure you are not a part of this event. 2 Thessalonians 2:3 (AMPC) says, Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that day will not come except the apostasy comes first [unless the predicted great falling away of those who have professed to be Christians has come], and the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is the son of doom (of perdition). The Bible calls it a great falling away of believers from the faith, people who once believed in God,who once walked with God, will turn away from God.

Something happened to cause this great falling away. In the natural, if you were to fall off of a place, it means somehow you lost your balance; something shook you and you were not able to maintain your position. As you look at the world, you can clearly see that there is a lot of shaking going on… but don’t be alarmed. Hebrews 12:26-27 (NKJV) says, …whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. These Scriptures show us that God allows shaking to come, to remove things that need to be removed, but they are never intended to remove us. How you walk with God will determine if you walk through a season of shaking. Isaiah 43:2 (NKJV) says, When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.

Victory is ours. All we have to do, no matter what, is to keep walking. As we walk through anything, we will eventually come out of it. The attack on our life is to get us to stop walking with the Lord. The attack comes to detach us from God, and change our course to move us away from the things of God.

Psalms 66:12 (KJV) tells us,  For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins. Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place. This is an amazing Scripture. The writer said he was tried as silver is tried. He walked through a proving ground, but he came out in a better place; he called it a wealthy place! I remember when the Lord told me He would never allow anything to come into my life that would not somehow work for my good. This is a good word, because a lot of times when we walk through things, we can’t see how in the world this could be working for our good.

If you are going to be victorious in the last days, you have to continue to walk with the Lord, no matter what you have to walk through. Psalms 23:4 (KJV) says, Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. The victorious walk is a byproduct of where you walk and who you walk with. Proverbs 13:2 (KJV) says, He that walketh with wise men shall be wise, but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. In these last days, be very careful who you walk with. The Bible says, how can two walk together unless they be in agreement? Don’t break your agreement with God to walk with someone who is not in agreement with Him. Remember this: when God wants to bless your life, He will send someone; and when the enemy wants to destroy your life, he will also send someone. It’s up to you to discern the difference.

2 Corinthians 6:14 (AMP) says, Do not be unequally bound together with unbelievers [do not make mismatched alliances with them, inconsistent with your faith]. For what partnership can righteousness have with lawlessness? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? You will not be able to walk in victory being connected to anyone that is not in agreement with what you believe. This type of relationship will pull you off the course, and will eventually shipwreck your life. It’s time to walk in victory, and it is connected to your walk with the Lord. Colossians 1:10 (AMP): …so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord [displaying admirable character, moral courage, and personal integrity], to [fully] please Him in all things, bearing fruit in every good work and steadily growing in the knowledge of God [with deeper faith, clearer insight and fervent love for His precepts]…
