Get In : Pastor Tony Samuels
So that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel after Him and find Him, although He is not far from each one of us.For in Him we live and move and have our being; as even some of your [own] poets have said, For we are also His offspring. - Acts 17:27-28 (AMP)
There are things we must do to trigger the move of God in our lives. Man’s spiritual activity will always attract and activate divine activity. The River of God is always flowing. The question is, are you in it, or are you out of it? Being around a river is completely different than being in a river. Even though both positions are close, the experiences are completely different.
Before I talk about activity, I must talk about relationship with the Lord. Your Christian life has to come to a place where you have a personal relationship with God. If this doesn’t happen, the enemy will actually trap you in religious routines. This will ease your conscience, but have no spiritual impact, because it never connects you to the Lord Himself. So your main spiritual activity is to meet with the Lord Himself. Mathew 6:6 (NKJV) says, But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. This promise is simply amazing. It’s saying that if I give my attention to God, He will give me His attention, and then He will reward me openly. Something I do in my private life will produce a blessing in my public life.
Understand, spiritual growth only occurs in an environment of spiritual hunger. Mathew 5:6 (NKJV) says, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. All spiritual activity starts with hunger for God. If I find out what you are hungry for, I can almost predict your activity in life. Nobody goes to a Chinese food restaurant unless they are hungry for Chinese food. Their hunger for Chinese food got them up and into the car to go get that Chinese food. 1 Peter 2:2 (AMPC) says, Like newborn babies you should crave (thirst for, earnestly desire) the pure (unadulterated) spiritual milk, that by it you may be nurtured and grow unto [completed] salvation. Spiritual hunger is vital to stay in the flow of God. Don’t ever, ever lose your hunger for the things of God. This will keep you in holy activities that will cause you to grow into all that God has called you to be. Understand, if you stop growing in God, you cap yourself at a level of blessing and responsibility.
Your activity in God actually shields you from the things of the world. Psalms 91:1 (AMP) says, He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand]. A river is a continual flow of water, so to remain in the move of God, there has to be a continual flow of spiritual activity that you are engaged in… and you don’t ever stop. Coming to church, prayer, praise and worship, reading your Bible… your life should be submerged in these activities; they should be your life. 2 Timothy 3:14 (AMP) says, But as for you, continue in the things that you have learned and of which you are convinced [holding tightly to the truths], knowing from whom you learned them. We must understand that our lives in God are not just for ourselves. God transforms our lives with truth, which must be lived out. Then, God expects us to pass it on to others. But if we stop in our life of truth, what are we passing down to the next generation of believers? I am blessed to not only to be a receiver of truth, but now the Lord has made me an imparter of truth. 1 Timothy 4:16 (TPT) says, Give careful attention to your spiritual life and every cherished truth you teach, for living what you preach will release salvation inside you and to all those who listen to you.
So my brothers and sisters, it’s time to come off the banks and GET IN the River of God, because it is flowing always!!! We are not waiting on God; God is waiting on us!
Blessings To You & Your Family!!!!!
